Samsung and Verizon joined earlier this year to launch the Galaxy S10 5G on the Big Red’s network, but it soon appears that this partnership is not going anywhere.
Verizon With An Improved 5G Modem
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G will be released later this year as another Verizon exclusive. The exact launch date of the flagship has yet to be announced, but as part of the agreement, it was reported that the smartphone will incorporate an enhanced 5G modem that will probably improve connectivity.
The special modem will only be used within the offerings of Verizon. This means that if Samsung decides to launch the Galaxy Note 10 5G in competing companies, it will not be able to offer the same connectivity advantages offered by the Verizon.
It is also stated that Verizon may be blocking the exclusive Galaxy Note 10 5G model domestically. The measure should promote the long-term use of its 5G network but specifically means that users could be blocked with the operator for as long as they decide to use the device.
Based On The Larger Galaxy Note 10+
Although the initial rumors indicate the existence of a Galaxy Note 10 5G and a Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, the latest information suggests that Samsung is preparing a unique model based on its flagship. This means that it will include a huge 6.75-inch curved Super AMOLED screen that will come with extremely thin bezels and a small size punch hole to house the 10-megapixel front camera.
If we talk about cameras, the rear sensors are ready to be taken from the Galaxy S10 5G launched earlier this year. The dedicated flight time sensor will be maintained along with the 12-megapixel telephoto lens with support for 2x optical zoom and the wide-angle 16-megapixel alternative. The 12-megapixel main camera is also expected to appear, although apparently a fundamental modification to the lens has been made.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the Galaxy Note 10+ and 5G will introduce a rather drastic change in the way the cameras are positioned. After years of opting for the design of horizontal cameras, the next version of the Galaxy Note series should adopt a vertical configuration of two columns that will be found in the upper left corner. Samsung has not yet confirmed the change but should leave room for other components, such as a larger battery.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Specs And Launch Date
Galaxy Note 10 series will probably be supplied with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. In the case of the 5G model, the leaks suggest that there will be a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of onboard storage.
All Galaxy Note 10 devices must be supplied with pre-installed Android 9 Pie along with the custom Samsung One UI overlay. However, an update of Android 10 Q and a future version of One UI will probably come in early 2020.
The Galaxy Note 10 5G and its 4G LTE will be announced on August 7th at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event.
