Here we show you how to jailbreak iOS 13.5.1 using checkra1n on compatible iPhone and iPad models, with a video tutorial.
Apple’s recent iOS 13.5.1 could have put an end to the new jailbreak devices, but that doesn’t mean that those with iPhone X and older devices should be too worried. The checkra1n jailbreak, the one we’re going to use here, for these older iPhones is based on the bootrom, which means Apple can’t patch it, no matter how hard you try.
All of this means that iPhone X and earlier versions can still be released, even with iOS 13.5.1 installed. This is good news as it gives you all the latest bug fixes and security from Apple, but it also jailbreaks you! That said, let’s take a look at what you need to do to get your jailbreak! There is not yet a checkra1n jailbreak available for Windows, so it is for Mac only for now.

The written instructions are as follows:
Step 1: Go to the checkra1n website and download the latest version of the jailbreak. Here is the URL: checkra.in
Step 2: Once downloaded, open the dmg checkra1n file, drag the application to your Applications folder and run it.
Step 3: If you receive an error suggesting that the application is not supported or approved, do the following; otherwise go to step 4:
- Open System Preferences and click Security and Privacy.
- Click Open anyway, then click Open and enter your password when prompted.
- Try to run the checkra1n application again, and it should work as expected.
Step 4: Now that the app is running, connect your iPhone to your Mac with an official Apple Lightning cable.
Step 5: Go to Options and check the option “Allow untested versions of iOS / iPadOS / tvOS“. When finished, click on Return.
Step 6: Now click on the Start button in the checkra1n application, then on OK to confirm.

Step 8: Once in DFU mode, the cheakra1n app will launch its magic to jailbreak your phone, and once the process is finished, your iPhone will restart.
Step 9: Go ahead and disconnect your iPhone, launch the checkra1n application on your iPhone and press Cydia to install the store. Just tap Install Cydia to complete the installation process.
