Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A line has sold so well that the company has offered half-generation updated versions of some of these models. For example, last week introduced the Galaxy A30 and the Galaxy A50. And now, according to MySmartPrice, the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified the Galaxy A70s. With a model number of the SM-707F, the phone was also recently seen on the Geekbench reference site. According to the reference test, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 675 chipset and will have 6 GB of built-in memory just like the Galaxy A70.
One of the differences between the normal Galaxy A models and the new “s” units is found in the rear camera module. For example, the Galaxy A50 has a 25 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 5 MP depth sensor. The Galaxy A50s is equipped with the same 8 MP and 5 MP cameras, but the replacement of the 25 MP main camera is a 48 MP camera. The Galaxy A50 also has a 50% increase in memory to 6 GB compared to the 4 GB that the Galaxy A50 is equipped with.
Likewise, we expect the Galaxy A70s to replace the 32MP main camera on the back with a camera powered by the 64 MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. With optimal illumination, the sensor can produce 64 MP photographs, while the 4-in-1-pixel grouping will produce 16 MP quality images in less than optimal conditions. The two remaining cameras will include the same ultra-large 8 MP sensor and 5 MP depth on the Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A50s. Color options can be black, white and lavender.
Assuming the rest of the Galaxy A70s is a dead ringer for the Galaxy A70, the new model must be equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and an aspect ratio of 20: 9 A 4500 mAh battery will keep the lights on and Android 9 will be pre-installed.
Since Samsung didn’t do much when it introduced the Galaxy A30 and the Galaxy A50, we probably won’t see any pumps and circumstances from Samsung when it announces the Galaxy A70s. We will have our ears on the ground so we can inform you as soon as Samsung makes the Galaxy A70s official.
As several US carriers are offering the Galaxy A10e, Galaxy A20, and Galaxy A50, it is possible that eventually some of the improved middle rangers will reach the United States.
