How to download the iOS 14 beta 5 and iPadOS 14 beta 5 configuration profile file without having an active Apple developer account or without having registered your device’s UDID to an account.
Now that Apple has released the latest version of its iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 beta, you’re probably looking to get your hands on it.
Considering that Beta 4 has been somewhat unstable for a ton of people, there are high hopes for Beta 5. But you’ll have to install it. And that could be problematic. Especially if you were waiting for a more stable beta before you jump in.
If so, you will not yet have a developer profile installed. And you might not want to sign up for the public beta for some reason. But fear not, because we have the connection on how to install the developer beta right here and now.
Step 1: Launch Safari on your iPhone or iPad. Access this link here to begin the process.
Step 2: Select the Download option to start downloading the required configuration profile to your device.
Step 3: Go to Settings> Downloaded Profile section on your device and install the profile. You won’t get very far without it.
Step 4: Open Settings> General> Software Update and wait for the device to complete the process. Once you have logged in you should see the “iOS 14 Developer Beta 5” appear as an available download.
Step 5: Select the Download and Install button to start the iOS 14 / iPadOS 14 Developer beta 5 installation process on your device.
Remember to make sure you have a solid backup of all your data before doing this, and most importantly, this is still a beta. Anything can and probably will happen.
